Cross Sections

west-end-streetOur roadway network has been designed primarily to move cars safely, efficiently and with minimal disruption.  This network includes major streets that place cars in multiple lanes moving at high speeds for long distances.  These major transportation corridors can present challenges when we try to retrofit them with non-motorized facilities. The proposed cross sections show how the recommended non-motorized facilities can be incorporated within the existing right-of-way.
